It is a project that is already underway. The protection of a wetland in the municipality of Lagoa | Algarve. Although small, a study carried out by a local environmental association revealed that this space is used over the years by about 114 species of birds.

In addition to the importance of saving all the wetlands that still exist and that survive the human vortex, it is important to save the species that use Alagoas, some of them with a conservation status that puts them close to extinction.

Despite all these arguments, the Municipality has remained autistic, clearly preferring the option that places another commercial area in that location.
